Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm
have gained Him the victory.
The LORD has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed
in the sight of the nations.
Psalm 98:1-2 NKJV
In March 2008, our church baptized eight people. This is truly a testimony to God’s love for all the people of the earth.
An elderly couple from Mainland China was visiting relatives in Taiwan. They heard the gospel, believed and were baptized. For security reasons, we cannot provide anymore information than that. We praise God for this amazing miracle.
On Easter Sunday, we baptized six more people, five of whom are young people from the youth group. One of these young people had been very vocal in her opposition to Christianity. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for our youth ministry. This is truly a great answer to many prayers. Click here to see a video of the five young people being baptized.
On April 5th, we held an evangelistic coffee house. These events are always well attended by the local people. Among the performers were two Christian friends of ours, Tiv and Dumile, sisters from Swaziland. They testified in Chinese of their faith in Christ and sang their own original compositions.
Click here to see and hear Dumile and Tiv singing their own songs.
Click here to see a video of our young people. Please pray that God will continue the work He has already begun among the young people. Last week, we started dividing the youth into two groups in order to begin discipleship training for those who were just baptized.
As always, we covet your prayers. We are both very busy in our teaching, music and counseling ministries. Perhaps our greatest need is for the Lord to call other Mandarin speaking co-workers to work in evangelism, discipleship training, youth ministry and counseling. The harvest is truly great, but the laborers are few. Is God calling you to serve?
