October 2008 News & Pictures

We just returned to Taiwan after spending two months in America visiting family members and ministering at Chinese churches in Binghamton, Long Island, Flushing and New Jersey. We feel particularly blessed that Lord opened the door for us to preach the gospel to new students from Mainland China. The vast majority of these students had never heard the gospel or set foot in a church. We were able to preach and perform music in special services held in Flushing, NY where over 50 new students attended the meeting and in Binghamton, NY where approximately 120 new students were in attendance. We also visited many other Chinese churches, renewing old acquaintances and making new ones.We were especially touched by the testimony of one of the students we met, a young woman from Mainland China who had only been in America for ten days. Her parents are both government officials and members of the Communist party. She came to believe in Christ over four years ago through a neighbor who witnessed to her. Although it was impossible for her to attend church in China, she continued to pray, read her Bible and serve Christ as one of China’s secret believers. As soon as she arrived in America, she found a church she could attend. God has His people everywhere, even in the homes of the very government officials who oppose the gospel! We are now back in Taiwan resuming our work among the Hakka Chinese. Please continue to pray for us and our work. Here are some more pictures we took during our trip.
