Hello again from Taiwan.
We would like to thank you all again for your continued prayer and financial support. Without it, we couldn’t do what we are doing here.
The Lord continues to bless our work here. Janine is busy in her zone pastor responsibility, teaching and counseling many from our home branch church as well as from other branch churches. The women she works with are extremely grateful for her help and often give testimonies of how the Lord is working in their lives. She recently had a chance to speak on missions to a Sunday school class consisting of 1 to 6 graders. As the children listened, she explained how as a child, she sensed the call to go be a missionary in China. Who knows? Maybe some of these kids will be missionaries when they grow up.

This September we had a special guest from America, David Rainville, who shared with our church on the Science of Acoustics and Sound Control. Many attended the classes and commented on how the teaching increased their understanding on the subject, thereby helping them to do a better job controlling the church PA systems. Dave is a Christian friend from music school, a very good trumpet player and an expert recording engineer.

Barth continues to preach at different branch churches, teach worship classes and train worship bands. He recently baptized another believer at the Huwei branch, a first generation Christian brother; Jiancheng. His family worships idols and none of his friends were Christians until someone in high school invited him to go to Church. He went, but only to make friends. It wasn’t until his college education that he decided to follow the Lord, and attend our church in Huwei. His family, although still idol worshippers, saw the good change in him and agreed to his baptism. He is a good brother, helping out with Church service every week.

One responsibility that Barth has is to occasionally lead the whole of Muyi Church in a “Worship Night”. This a night set aside for worship only, there is no preaching, no announcements, no offering taken. Just praising our Lord and getting close to Him in intimate worship. Again, as the first worship night, we sensed the presence of the Lord, God touched hearts.
Please continue to pray for us. Sometimes we find that we are overwhelmed with the amount of people that need help in our areas of ministry. We need wisdom, strength and direction from God. This Christmas Janine will be in charge of the Yumen branch church Christmas program. Next semester Barth will go to some smaller branch churches to train their worship teams.
Some things to give thanks for would be: 1) After applying to the government here, we received a permanent residence visa, meaning we can stay in this country as long as we like without applying year after year. 2) We are both generally in good health and are very happy in our work here.
Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!
