Nov 2014 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

We just wanted let everyone know we are still alive and well, continuing our work in Taiwan at the Muyi Church. Barth preaches and teaches classes, traveling between country churches and the city.  Janine works at the Yumen branch church overseeing small groups, teaching and counseling families.  She will be teaching a course in basic Christian doctrine starting in January.

Most of the people in our church are newly converted with no prior church background.  They have recently renounced idol and ancestor worship but still are superstitious and fearful.  So discipleship training is an extremely important component of our work.

We have very few co-workers, so we are busy all the time.  Although Taiwan as a whole is prosperous, the Christian population tends to be poorer.  So the church is facing financial problems as well.  Please remember to pray for the church and our ministry in Taiwan.
